Carlson Equipment Rental started as a small tool rental associated with Carlson Building Supplies in Ashland, WI. Boyd Carlson knew, as a former contractor, that you simply couldn't buy everything you needed to do everything, and that there was always something that would make the job easier... though owning it was often financially out of the question. Through several location moves, and an eventual ownership transfer to Boyd's grandchildren, Carlson's has grown to become a leader in the equipment rental industry throughout northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
