The mission of Northwoods Humane Society (NHS) is to provide a sheltered environment for unwanted animals. NHS will work to find appropriate homes for animals, provide medical care as needed, and work to socialize and train animals to increase their success in a home situation.
The humane society also operates a thrift shop, which is located at 15861 W Third Street in Hayward, and it is FABULOUS! It is the largest source of income for the Shelter. It is FULL of wonderful items and offers easily accessible parking.
