Event Description:

Starting from the Cable Wayside Landing, paddle through four miles and over two hundred years of river history with National Park Service historian Jean Schaeppi. Arriving at the wild rice beds in Pacwawong Lake, we’ll explore the Native American history there and eat lunch perched above an old dam. All canoes, equipment, and transportation back to your cars will be provided. Bring lunch, water, and snacks. Meet at Cable Wayside on Hwy 63 at 9:00 a.m. and return by 2:00 p.m. $5 member/$10 non-member. Space is limited. Registration is required by July 5.
