Date: January 21, 2016
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM CST
Event Description:
Dinner Lecture: Under the Surface of the St. Croix River (Adult Naturalist Program) Many people love the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, but almost no one sees what?s under the surface. Toben Lafrancois, local aquatic ecologist and underwater explorer, will discuss his recent work integrating the arts and sciences to paint an in-depth picture of the St. Croix River. His research on food webs using stable isotopes is helping to mitigate the impacts of invasive carp; and his work with Northwest Passage's "In a New Light" photography program leads kids on a journey of arts and healing. Join us at 5:30 p.m. at the Rookery Pub. You may join us for dinner and conversation after the presentation. Call 715-798-3890 to register by January 20. $5 member/$10 non-member.
