Saturday, January 16 Animals in Winter and Habitat Snowshoe Hike at the NGLVC Discover the amazing adaptations that our local critters use to survive the winter, using the Museum?s furs and animal specimens. Then head outside to investigate habitats and look for animal sign. This program is focused for ages 9-12, and satisfies requirements for the Junior Girl Scout "Animal Habitats" badge, but anyone is welcome. Snowshoes are provided. Dress for the weather. Meet at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland, WI, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Space is limited. Register by January 15, by calling the NGLVC at 715-685-9983.
