Event Description:
Non-native Invasive plants are becoming a problem for our local rivers and lakes. Join Bayfield County AIS coordinator Jeremy Bates, and Museum Naturalist Emily Stone, to learn about the issues surrounding aquatic invasive species (AIS). Then travel to a nearby lake to become a Superhero Conservation Sidekick and gain valuable experience removing problem plants. Dress for mud and water. Meet at the Cable Natural History Museum at 9:00 a.m., and wrap up at 1:00 p.m. after a complimentary lunch. Special thanks to the C.D. Besadny Conservation Grant Program.
