The mission of Hayward Community School District is to empower all students and staff to reach their highest potential by providing a safe, healthy, interactive learning environment which emphasizes the importance of academic excellence, global awareness, social responsibility, cooperation, cultural diversity, creativity, and curiosity. Hayward Community Schools consists of eight schools, a primary school for grades K-2, an Intermediate school for grades 3-5, a school in Stone Lake for students in grades K-5, a middle school for grades 6-8, and a high school for grades 9-12. We also have two charter schools. HACIL (Hayward Center for Individualized Learning) primarily targeting home-school students in grades K-12 and Waadakookodading-an Ojibwe Language Immersion School for students in grades K-5.
