Name: Winter Greenhouse Endless Summer Days
Date: August 2, 2014 - August 3, 2014
Event Description:

The August garden is alive with color, sound and fragrance. This is a great time to take a tour and see the garden at it's best. See how the plants look at their maturity and in various combinations.

Make sure to stop by the pond where the waterlilies are at their peak. There are many varieties, in a wide assortment of colors, and some that are fragrant as well.

The kids will enjoy stopping on the bridge to watch the fish swim by and the frogs splashing about. Bees, birds and butterflies are also frequent and welcome visitors to the garden, attracted to the vibrant colors and fragrant flowers.

If you would like to attract these and other wildlife creatures to your backyard, planting wildflowers is one of the best ways. Wildflowers can provide beautiful, low-maintenance landscapes, and are also useful for doing shoreline restorations. If you would like to learn more about Wisconsin native plants and the benefits of using them in your landscape, attend our free workshops on Saturday and Sunday.
