Name: Winter Greenhouse Autumn Splendor Event
Date: August 30, 2014 - August 31, 2014
Event Description:

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower ~ Albert Camus

Autumn is also the mellow season when all the hectic flowering and reproductive activity of the summer is over.

Seed-heads and berries look their best; and the changing color of leaves signals the beginning of the end of the growing season. For the gardener, this is the time to start putting the garden to bed and taking care of fall pruning and maintenance. You can attend the free workshop on Saturday or Sunday to learn more about the importance and proper techniques for pruning your trees and shrubs.

This time of year can also be a time of creativity and healthy activity. Plan a new garden area from scratch, expand or create new beds, make changes to tired areas, build that arbor you've been thinking about, lay out a pattern of spring-blossoming bulbs, collect seeds for next year's backyard crop or research a new heirloom variety for your vegetable garden.

We invite you to celebrate the season with us. Enjoy the beauty of our fall gardens. Get inspiration for additions to your own landscape - even the miniature garden! Refresh your patio and yard with colorful fall flowers, huge mums in a variety of new colors, and unique fall combination planters.
