Join Naturalist Emily Stone for a moderately strenuous adventure in the Fairyland State Natural Area at Forest Lodge. Explore enchanted haunts on the former estate of Museum founder Mary Griggs Burke while experiencing and learning about the magic of nature. Be prepared for off-trail explorations. Dress for the weather. Families welcome. Meet at 10:00 a.m., 10 miles east of Cable. Call ahead by March 20, for directions and to register. Snowshoes are available to borrow by calling ahead.
