Join author and Northland College adjunct professor Julie Buckles as she talks about her 1,700-mile journey in a handmade canoe from Lake Superior to northern Canada, where she and her new groom stayed for the winter. No running water. No electricity. No phone. Buckles is the author of award-winning memoir, "Paddling to Winter," released by Raven Productions in 2013. 7:00 p.m. at the Cable Community Centre.
